Some background Knowledge

I am currently located in southeastern, Rhode Island specializing in portraiture and event commissions.

  • The art of creativity has always been present throughout my early-mid childhood. Over the years, I have experimented in oil painting as well as charcoal portrait commissions for individuals locally.

  • As the calendar kept flipping, my interests altered, although continuously remaining creative. There became slow transitions into developing film for older-style photography.

  • The introduction to film photography began to consume my life, primarily taking form throughout late high school, (2022-2023). Thankfully, my father passed down his 1980 Olympus (model:OMG) which shaped my love for old school photography.

  • Once understanding the fundamentals of my newfound hobby, I spent countless hours researching how to turn my passion-project into a job.

There is truly a satisfaction in capturing life’s incredible moments and freezing them in time.

THE transition into digital

After a transformative trip to California in August 2024, I felt a calling to elevate my photography into a professional pursuit.

  • Upon returning to Rhode Island, I promptly visited a camera shop where the Sony A7 IV immediately caught my attention—along with its hefty price tag.

    • Despite my hesitation, I decided to invest in the camera body, along with two lenses: the Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens and the Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS.

  • After dedicating countless hours to self-teaching, I felt determined to master my own, as well as the camera’s, full potential.

  • As I began capturing sports tournaments, portrait sessions, and breathtaking landscapes, I found myself not only immersed in the shooting process but equally fascinated by the artistry of editing, color grading, and refining each image into a final product I could truly take pride in.

Along with portraiture, nature photography poses an interest as well, with many recent expeditions to neighboring states and their forests.

  • October & November 2024: Flume Gorge, NH., Franconia Ridge National Park, NH., & Watkins Glen State Park, NY.
